Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a reliable School Catering Supervisor in Salisbury to support daily operations in the school kitchen and dining service. You will allocate duties and supervise staff, assist with meal preparation, and ensure high hygiene standards.

The role requires experience in catering, preferably in a school or similar setting, with strong organisation and communication skills. An enhanced DBS check will be required. Term-time only, permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience is essential, with supervisory responsibilities preferred.
• Knowledge of school catering operations and health standards is desirable.
• Awareness of dietary requirements and allergen procedures is required.
• Good organisation and clear communication during busy service times.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of the school kitchen and dining service.
• Allocate duties and supervise catering staff during service.
• Help prepare and serve meals according to set menus.
• Monitor hygiene, cleanliness and safe food storage standards.
• Assist with stock control, deliveries and ordering supplies.
• Ensure allergen procedures are followed and records kept.
