Job summary

Caterlink, an education sector catering specialist, is hiring a Catering Manager at County High School, Bury St Edmunds. The role is term-time only with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and no weekends.

You will lead daily operations, supervise teams, manage inventories and budgets, and act as the main client contact to drive improvements and KPI achievement. You will ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations while delivering nutritionally balanced,

• Oversee inventories, budgets and action plans for performance.
• Lead and train teams to deliver high quality service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Drive excellent food and service, exceeding client expectations.
• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, budgets and KPI tracking.
• Serve as main client contact in school and implement improvements.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets.
• Support and train teams, ensuring training completion and performance management.
