Job summary

Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire and serves more than 60,000 school meals per day. We are seeking committed casual staff to join the catering team in Primary Schools across West Lancashire.

You will work as part of a team in Primary Schools in the West Lancashire area, providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children. Casual hours and no fixed schedule, with DBS disclosure required as per policy.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
• Good customer care skills.
• Previous catering and food preparation experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
• Clean all equipment and catering areas.
