Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Casual Catering Assistant to join the Haslingden area catering team, delivering high-quality meals for school children. You will work with a small team in a busy school kitchen and dining area across Haslingden, Rossendale and Waterfoot.

Casual hours offered on an as-and-when basis; DBS disclosure is required for successful applicants. Prior catering experience is desirable, with a friendly, customer-focused approach valued.

Qualifications

• Teamworking ability to collaborate within a dining service.
• Ability to stay composed and manage tasks under pressure.
• Strong customer care and communication with pupils, staff and visitors.
• Desirable prior catering/food prep experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining area for service and arrange furniture.
• Assist in preparation, cooking and serving of meals and beverages.
• Clean equipment and catering areas after service.
