Job summary

Impact Food Group (IFG) is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our school catering team at Newton Abbot College. Working Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm (20 hours per week) during term time, you’ll provide friendly, efficient service, help with food prep, and serve customers at the counter.

You’ll keep kitchens and dining areas clean and safe, benefit from free meals on shift, and access qualifications and career development opportunities. DBS checks are part of the safeguarding process.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly manner.
• Experience in catering or retail is preferred but not required.
• Able to work 10am–2pm, term-time schedule and follow food-safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the catering team to provide a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service.
• Assist in preparing food and snacks for the site.
• Serve customers at the counter and operate the till.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
