Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Catering Assistant at Truro High School for Girls, TR1 2HU. The role involves helping prepare, service and maintain dining areas to Sodexo and client standards, with emphasis on health, safety and hygiene. Typical shift is 11:15 am to 14:30, Monday to Friday, at the Truro site.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, works well in a team, and can stand for long periods. No prior experience is required while full training and uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• No previous work experience required.
• Willingness to work in a school environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and serving of hot and/or cold foods from counters and steam tables.
• Clean and sanitise equipment and workstations.
• Reads recipes and estimates food requirements.
• Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables and break down stations at the end of meal periods.
• Interact with students in serving, retail, and dining areas.
