Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Catering Assistant at Truro High School for Girls, TR1 2HU. The role involves helping prepare, service and maintain dining areas to Sodexo and client standards, with emphasis on health, safety and hygiene. Typical shift is 11:15 am to 14:30, Monday to Friday, at the Truro site.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, works well in a team, and can stand for long periods. No prior experience is required while full training and uniforms are provided.

• Willingness to work in a school environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and serving of hot and/or cold foods from counters and steam tables.
• Clean and sanitise equipment and workstations.
• Reads recipes and estimates food requirements.
• Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables and break down stations at the end of meal periods.
• Interact with students in serving, retail, and dining areas.

As a Catering Assistant for Sodexo Truro High School for Girls, Falmouth Road, Truro, TR1 2HUyou will assist in the preparation of servicing and dining areas, food service, cleaning of equipment, utensils and working areas whilst maintaining correct levels of health and safety. You will ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals to the company’s standard and to the client’s satisfaction and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the Unit to the required standard in the Service Level Agreement

What You Do:
