Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Catering Assistant for Carr Head Primary to provide high quality, healthy meals in a school setting. The role is part-time (15 hours per week) and term-time only, with shifts 10:30–1:30 on weekdays and DBS disclosure required.

You will work as part of a team to prepare dining areas, assist with food preparation and serving, and ensure cleanliness of equipment and catering areas.

Qualifications

• Previous catering and food preparation experience is essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
• Good customer care skills.
• Attention to detail essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
• Clean all equipment and catering areas.
