Job summary

Shorefields is seeking a part-time catering assistant to join our school catering team. The role covers 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00–14:30, during term time with staff training days. You will prepare food, serve lunches, and keep dining areas clean and well-stocked.

Candidates should be patient, team-oriented and able to adapt to the school environment. DBS checks and references will be required as part of safer recruitment.

Qualifications

• Part-time catering assistant position in a school environment.
• Duties include food preparation, serving, and cleaning to support the dining operation.
• Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and serving mid-morning tuck/snacks.
• Serving lunch in the main dining room.
• Cleaning tables, benches, and floors between sittings and in the servery.
• Ensuring crockery and cutlery are stocked for each sitting.
