Job summary

Aspens Services is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food, committed to quality care for clients and children. We are seeking a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen in basic food preparation and to deliver excellent service during the lunchtime rush.

You will help with customer interaction on tills, front-line service to students and staff, and maintaining high hygiene standards in a busy service environment. Full training is provided for the till and service roles.

Qualifications

• Team player who thrives in a busy catering environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices is expected; training available.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer interactions on the till during service with training provided.
• Provide friendly, polite customer service to students and staff.
• Assist the team with basic food preparation to support the kitchen.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment and comply with Health and Safety standards.
