Job summary

De Lisle College, part of the St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, is seeking a Catering Assistant to support the kitchen team and deliver high-quality food service with strong hygiene and customer care. Duties include preparation, serving, cleaning and stock rotation in a collaborative school setting.

Experience in catering is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude, willingness to learn and good communication with staff and students are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping ingredients).
• Serve food and drinks to customers.
• Clean kitchen equipment, utensils and dining areas.
• Set up and clear service areas and dining spaces.
• Wash up and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Support with stock rotation and deliveries.
• Follow all food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
