Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Catering Assistant at St Benedict's Catholic High School, Alcester. The role involves food preparation, service, and occasional travel to a nearby school. A full UK driving licence is essential, with a fixed pattern Monday–Friday, 11:00–14:30 and term-time only (38 weeks). Salary is paid monthly across 12 months.

You will be part of a team delivering high-quality catering services, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting with cleaning and operations across both sites.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Positive and reliable attitude.
• Willingness to travel between school sites.
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages at St Benedict's Catholic High School.
• Drive a Sodexo van between St Benedict's and St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Broadway.
• Support with food service and washing up at St Mary's Catholic Primary School.
• Transport food and catering supplies between school sites.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Carry out general cleaning duties across the catering areas.
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required.
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
• Provide friendly and helpful service to pupils, customers, colleagues and visitors.
• Work flexibly across both school sites to support the smooth running of the catering operation.
