Job summary

Camberwell Park Specialist School is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join the site team. This Grade 3, permanent post covers 35 hours per week, all-year-round, with a full-time salary of £26,427 - £26,847.

The role includes security, maintenance, health and safety duties, and supporting school events and lettings. The successful candidate will be a key holder, help with health and safety standards, liaise with contractors, supervise cleaning, and respond to site-related

Qualifications

• Experience as caretaker or similar role with maintenance, cleaning and repair tasks.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and hygiene regulations; COSHH knowledge desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff, pupils, contractors and visitors.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Physical ability for manual handling and caretaking duties.
• Good ICT, literacy and numeracy skills with accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• General repairs and site maintenance (inside and outside).
• Daily health and safety monitoring including fire safety checks.
• Security of the school site; act as a key holder and monitor CCTV where applicable.
• Liaison with contractors and oversight of compliance with site regulations.
• Supervision of cleaning staff and external cleaning contractors.
