Job summary

Palladian Academy Trust seeks a proactive School Caretaker to join our Estates team across Wiltshire schools. You will help maintain safe, secure learning environments and work with the Estates Lead and school teams to keep sites operational.

You will be the first and last face of the school each day, providing a friendly presence for parents, pupils, staff and visitors. Experience in school maintenance is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in site maintenance within a school setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of health, safety and building compliance requirements.
• Ability to perform a range of practical DIY tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security, safety and upkeep of school buildings and grounds.
• Carry out maintenance and repair tasks (e.g. basic plumbing, decorating).
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues as they arise.
• Conduct health and safety checks and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Liaise with external contractors and oversee RAMS where required.
• Support estates projects and site improvements across Trust schools.
• Cover absence and provide support across other Trust sites as needed.
