Mitie is seeking a School Caretaker in Ashford to deliver high service standards while adhering to cleaning schedules and SLA agreements. The role is a permanent full-time position based at North School, Essella Road, Ashford, Kent, TN24 8AL, with a rate of pay £13.84 per hour.

The successful candidate will maintain safety, respond to helpdesk requests, perform porterage and room setups, and undertake PPM tasks such as fire alarm tests and emergency light checks. DBS check is required.

Qualificações

• Previous caretaking experience (preferred but not essential).
• Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Open, honest, self-driven, and determined.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality, with willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
