Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting for a Caretaker to join a welcoming secondary school in Central Manchester. You will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, security and general upkeep of the school premises, working with the leadership and site team to uphold high standards.

The role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, with duties including opening/closing, minor repairs, safety checks and assisting with deliveries and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caretaker, premises, maintenance or facilities role.
• Experience in a school environment is desirable.
• A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Opening and securing the school premises.
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensuring the site is clean, safe and well maintained.
• Monitoring and maintaining security of the building and grounds.
• Completing routine checks and reporting issues.
• Assisting with deliveries, contractors and visitors.
• Setting up and moving furniture and equipment when required.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
• Responding promptly to maintenance and site-related issues.
