Job summary

Pinnacle Group Limited are looking for an experienced School Caretaker to ensure our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant.

You will be joining our Facilities Management team based in Exeter, with responsibilities including routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed and keeping the premises clean and orderly.

Qualifications

• Range of general handyperson skills including DIY, plumbing, carpentry and electrical.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring security integrity of the school buildings and grounds through locking and unlocking, patrols, monitoring.
• Carry out day-to-day duties according to daily schedule, i.e. littler picking, Bin emptying, sweeping.
• Carry out defined Planned Preventative Maintenance responsibilities in accordance with each school's schedule.
• Where appropriate provide access, escort, liaise with and assist service providers on site to undertake remedial work or Planned Prevented Maintenance.
• Carry out minor maintenance repairs and decoration works.
• Carry out initial investigations into reactive requests made during the day relating to deficiencies in accommodation and making temporary or permanent repairs.
• Respond to emergency situations, affecting temporary or permanent rectification.
• Respond to request for porterage and collection of parcels, movement of furniture rearrangement of rooms.
• Weekly checking and clearing drains, gullies for blockages as well as weekly plant room check/plant changeover monthly change/sterilize shower heads/ Painting (patch and programmed works).
