Job summary

Kineton Primary School is seeking a caretaker to join our busy school. Core hours are 7:30am to 10:30am with some flexibility around holiday hours.

The role covers security, general maintenance, cleaning and porterage, with basic maintenance of heating, lighting, plumbing and security systems to keep the site safe and well cared for. The successful candidate will be trusted as a key holder, undertake statutory checks and respond to emergency call-outs.

Qualifications

• Be enthusiastic, efficient, flexible and reliable as a caretaker.
• Must be positive, hard-working and uphold high standards of maintenance and care.
• Able to undertake basic maintenance of heating, lighting, plumbing and security systems.
• Capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment.
• May assist with on-site outdoor swimming pool tasks in summer.
• Be a key holder and respond to emergency call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Security, general maintenance work and repairs.
• Health and safety issues relating to the buildings.
• Cleaning and porterage duties.
• Prepare, check and maintain the on-site outdoor swimming pool during summer.
• Undertake statutory checks and daily/weekly/monthly recording where required.
• Attend emergency call-outs for the school.
