Job summary

Wheelock Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Caretaker to join our dedicated team. This permanent, part-time role offers 25 hours per week, across Monday to Friday, with a 12:30 to 18:00 shift, and 52 weeks per year.

You will help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming school environment, carry out site checks, support health and safety compliance, and work with staff, contractors and suppliers to keep the site in good order.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caretaking or site management role.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Proactive, hands-on with pride in maintaining a safe, clean environment.
• Strong team player able to work with staff, contractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out site checks, cleaning duties and ensuring the school is secure and ready each day.
