Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a School Caretaker in Wednesbury for a Monday to Friday role, 10:00am–6:00pm. This hands-on position focuses on keeping the school safe, clean and secure.

You will perform regular checks, manage fire exits, check meters, lock up, and report maintenance or health and safety issues. An enhanced DBS is required, and reliability and initiative are valued in a practical school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, facilities or maintenance is desirable.
• Candidates with relevant practical experience will also be considered.

• Flushing water outlets in line with site procedures
• Litter picking and maintaining the cleanliness of the school grounds
• Reading and recording utility meters
• Locking up the school premises
• Carrying out general site and building checks

• Helping to ensure the school site is safe, secure and well maintained
• Assisting with general caretaking duties as required

We are currently recruiting for a School Caretaker to join a school in Wednesbury. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and secure school environment.

Previous caretaking, facilities or maintenance experience is desirable, but candidates with relevant practical experience will also be considered.

Due to the nature of the role and working within a school environment, a prior Enhanced DBS will be required.
