Job summary

The Education Authority in Northern Ireland is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant for Blythefield Primary School. You will support daily catering operations and hygiene, helping deliver meals to pupils and assisting with dining room duties.

Role involves basic food prep, serving meals, promoting healthy eating and coordinating with the central kitchen. Training is provided; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Basic food and beverages preparation, including vegetables and snacks.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points and transferring meals.
• Assisting with promotion of meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintaining regular contact with central kitchen and service delivery.
• Setting dining area and tables, and preparing serving points.
