Job summary

The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Catering Assistant to support the daily operations of the school kitchen and dining areas. You will assist with basic food preparation, serving meals and maintaining hygiene standards to ensure a safe, nutritious service for pupils.

Responsibilities

• Basic food and beverage preparation and vegetables/snack prep.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared foods.
• Organising and controlling food service points.
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks, including transported meals.
• Cleaning kitchen, servery and dining areas; washing up.
• Recording temperatures and ensuring hygiene compliance.
• Promoting meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Adhering to statutory requirements and school values.
