Thrive Education Group is recruiting Youth Support Practitioners to work within schools across Sefton, supporting pupils who may need additional help with behaviour, confidence, emotional wellbeing or engagement with education.

If your experience comes from youth services, mentoring, children's support, residential care, community projects or alternative provision, your skills could transfer naturally into a school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in educational or youth-focused settings.
• Knowledge of SEND, SEMH, and behaviour support strategies is desirable.
• Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with a calm, professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers and pastoral staff to support pupils in school.
• Build positive relationships with young people and their families where appropriate.
• Provide individual or small-group support to help engagement with learning.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour in the classroom.
• Assist pupils to re-engage with lessons and activities.
• Follow individual support strategies as directed by school staff.
