Job summary

JustOT is recruiting a Specialist Occupational Therapist on behalf of a specialist day and residential primary school in Surrey. This permanent role is 35 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks) with 10 weeks leave during school closures, and sponsor available.

You will deliver school-based OT, conduct assessments, plan interventions, and collaborate with teachers and families to support pupils with speech and language disorders and autism.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver school-based OT to support learning and development.
• Perform assessments and design individualised intervention plans.
• Plan and evaluate therapeutic interventions independently.
• Run one-to-one and small-group sessions in specialist areas.
• Promote participation and independence in daily activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and professionals.
• Adapt interventions across settings to boost learning.
• Maintain records and monitor progress with evidence-based practice.
