Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) is seeking a Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner (Registered Mental Health Nurse) to join MHSTs across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. You will assess, support and deliver interventions for children, young people and families in schools and communities.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team with supervision and development opportunities aligned to THRIVE framework.

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with NMC registration.
• Experience supporting children, young people and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess and manage risk in a mental health context.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Undertake mental health assessments.
• Deliver evidence-based mental health interventions.
• Support triage and duty functions within MHSTs.
• Review referrals and manage caseload.
• Assess and manage risk; respond to safeguarding concerns.
• Collaborate with schools, families and partner agencies to ensure appropriate support.
