Job summary

The Assistant Educational Mental Health Practitioner role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust sits within the Mental Health Support Teams. You will help plan and deliver core functions to support education settings, provide timely consultation, advice and signposting, and deliver 1:1 low intensity CBT informed interventions.

This fixed-term 12-month, full-time role offers development opportunities within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to enhance skills and experience in youth

Qualifications

GCSE in Maths and English (grade 4 or above).
Experience in working with children and people in mental health or educational settings.
Experience of mental health prevention and early intervention.
Experience of audit.
Experience of databases and software packages.
Experience of working in NHS and/or education.

Responsibilities

Assist in running therapeutic groups and workshops.
Support clinical staff and admin to ensure smooth service operations.
Develop resource packs for children, young people and families.
Input and score assessment tools, report findings to care coordinator/lead professional.
Ensure the perspective of children, young people and families is reflected in assessments and treatment.
Attend and contribute to meetings; maintain accurate records of care.
