Job summary

Globe Locums is recruiting a Mental Health Practitioner to provide flexible support across 3–4 schools in North West London. The role involves assessments, interventions, and collaboration with school staff to support children with ASD, SEND, and mental health needs.

The contract is ongoing with ad hoc hours; UKCP/BACP accreditation and a diploma are required, plus strong communication and teamwork abilities to work autonomously within school settings.

Qualifications

• UKCP/BACP accreditation or equivalent professional registration.
• Diploma qualification in a related mental health field.
• Strong observational and listening skills as core competencies.
• Ability to work well within a team in school settings.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mental health assessments and emotional wellbeing reviews for students.
• Deliver individual and targeted interventions as part of a plan.
• Support children and young people with ASD, SEND, and mental health needs.
• Collaborate with school staff, families and other professionals.
• Develop strategies and support plans tailored to each pupil.
• Provide flexible input across 3–4 schools in North West London.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor progress with stakeholders.
