Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or a Qualified Children's Wellbeing Practitioner to join the South-West Essex MHST in the Basildon area. You will work with schools to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their families, delivering targeted interventions and whole-school approaches.

The role requires completing the approved practitioner course and registration with BABCP or BPS.

Qualifications

• Completion of the HEE/NHSE commissioned Education Mental Health Practitioner course or the Children's Wellbeing Practitioner course
• Appropriate registration with BABCP or BPS (low intensity practitioner) or evidence of application in progress

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in schools and families.
• Develop plans for intervention and agreed outcomes in partnership with schools and families.
• Deliver whole school approaches, targeted treatment (low intensity CBT), and consultation and liaison.
• Work autonomously within scope of practice alongside education colleagues and other EMHPs/CWPs.
