Job summary

Bishop Vesey's Grammar School is seeking a dedicated Whole School Attendance Officer to join our team on a Fixed Term maternity cover. The role is term-time only, 36.5 hours per week, with a pro rata salary range of £30,240–£31,934 depending on hours and experience.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of attendance regulations and safeguarding policies.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Clear communication with students, parents and staff.
• Experience working in a school or similar environment.
• Confidence in using IT systems for data management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse attendance records across the school to identify patterns.
• Work with students and families to address barriers to attendance.
• Liaise with teachers, senior leaders and external agencies for attendance interventions.
• Maintain accurate records and produce regular attendance reports for leadership.
