Job summary

The Sirona care & health CIC invites applications for a Band 4 Speech and Language Therapy Assistant Practitioner. Working across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire in school settings, you will support children with speech, language and communication needs under supervision of Specialist SLTs.

You will deliver targeted interventions in primary and secondary schools, prepare equipment and resources, and contribute to the development of therapy plans while working as part of a

Qualifications

Recognised childcare/healthcare qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Training in Makaton / Attention Autism or other relevant SLCN interventions.
Experience of working with children in an educational or health setting.
Experience as an assistant practitioner.
Familiar with delivering intervention programmes targeting speech sounds or language skills.
Experience running small group targeted interventions.

Responsibilities

Deliver skilled support along with speech and language therapy programmes in schools.
Monitor children/young people's response to therapy and set new targets.
Work closely with the Speech and Language Therapist within commissioned schools.
Prepare equipment, materials and resources to support the SLT team.
