Job summary

A thriving secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a School Administrator to support staff, students, parents, and senior leaders. You will provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to ensure daily operations run efficiently and professionally.

In this role you will manage the school office, handle inquiries, maintain MIS records, assist with admissions and safeguarding, and help coordinate events.

Qualifications

  • Previous administration experience (school experience desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies.
  • Manage telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries professionally.
  • Maintain accurate student records on the school MIS (Arbor/SIMS).
  • Support attendance processes and safeguarding documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, room bookings, and SLT diaries.
  • Produce reports, letters, and communications on behalf of senior leaders.
  • Assist with admissions paperwork and transition documentation.
  • Support school events, open evenings, and parents’ evenings.
  • Maintain filing systems and ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
