About the Role

A welcoming and well-established secondary school in Brent is seeking a highly organised and professional Administrative Assistant to join its support staff team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced educational environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring effective communication with staff, students, parents, and external visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing reception duties and welcoming visitors.
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally.
  • Maintaining accurate student and staff records.
  • Supporting attendance and admissions administration.
  • Producing letters, reports, and school documentation.
  • Assisting with diary management and meeting coordination.
  • Processing safeguarding and confidential information appropriately.
  • Providing general administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff.
Requirements
  • Previous administration experience within a school or office environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
  • Knowledge of SIMS, Arbor, or similar school systems is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
