First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Scheduling Team Leader on behalf of one of our fantastic clients based in Bedfordshire.

The Scheduling Team Leader for Service and Maintenance will oversee efficient and effective service and maintenance scheduling for the organisation. This role requires strong organisational and leadership skills to ensure that all service and maintenance tasks are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. The Scheduling Team Leader will work closely with the engineering and delivery team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive scheduling system for service and maintenance activities, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and timely
  • completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate the team to assign tasks and prioritise work based on urgency and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and track the progress of service and maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure the availability of necessary parts and equipment for service and maintenance tasks.
  • Assist the Senior Coordinator and Administrator in scheduling service and maintenance appointments, ensuring minimal customer disruption.
  • Provide guidance and support to the engineering and delivery team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members, providing feedback and addressing performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including work orders, service reports, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and engineering, to ensure effective communication and coordination of service and maintenance activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and service and maintenance techniques advancements, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development of internal systems, such as enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Work with the customer support specialist to gain customer feedback and resolve any queries.
  • Manage the lead-in vehicle fleet to ensure maximum utilisation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A-level or technical certifications or qualifications are desirable, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in a scheduling or coordination role, preferably in the service and maintenance of heavy machinery or equipment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using scheduling software and other relevant tools to manage service and maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of suction excavators and related products is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, focusing on providing effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt and react positively to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
