We have an excellent opportunity here at Southern Water for a Scheduler, if you’re an organised individual who has excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you!

As a scheduler, you will need to create and manage work schedules by deciding how to order both planned & reactive work and influencing what resources are needed to achieve optimum field resource productivity and adherence to service level agreements.

Your key accountabilities would include:

• Scheduling of reactive & planned work during core business hours, ensuring jobs are dispatched in a prioritised manner, and relevant

contractors/operational teams are utilised efficiently

• Regular communication with District Managers/Field Performance Managers to review area performance

• Flexible approach to scheduling and reacting to emergency situations, to prevent customer and compliance issues.

• Monitor and manage field team whereabouts to ensure adherence to schedule

• Support and assist the Controller during both normal operations and disruptive events, to deliver the optimum service that meets the needs of the business and our customers.

• To set customer expectations by keeping customers informed of the progress of their enquiry via telephone contact

• To accurately record all information necessary to resolve open work orders, incidents, issues or customer complaints to enable trend and management information.

This is a great time to join our organisation if you are passionate about the environment, reducing pollution and be proud of joining one of the largest water and wastewater companies in the South East of England!

To be successful in this role, you will have a good customer service background and be familiar working towards deadlines and dealing with multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be using a variety of tools such as emails, excel and teams -this is key in addition to working on multiple computer systems that we use internally such as SAP, Ellipse, Lightfoot, Water Works.

A great step into finding a career where you will get the exposure in interpreting management information to find the required resolution by working together with diverse teams and managers within our operations which are largely field based!

Sounds intense? Don’t worry!

We provide 6 weeks training programme from your day one! Plus, you will be working within a great supportive team in your journey learning the role.

We also offer hybrid working where you will be expected to work 3 days in the Durrington office, and you can work from home the other 2 days. The office is close to train stations and bus routes, so don’t worry about transport!
