This is a Full Time/Flexible Working, Fixed Term Contract vacancy that will close in 14 days at 23:59 BST.

We are looking for a scheduler to join us on a FIXED TERM 12 MONTH MATERNITY COVER contract within our scheduling team in the Milton Keynes area. You will be part of the Wates Living Space Responsive team, allocating work to several operatives daily, ensuring productivity and providing excellent customer service to our client and residents. This is an office-based role, so ideally you will be commutable to Milton Keynes.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Scheduling works into diaries for up to 20 operatives daily, ensuring diaries are full and work is allocated promptly when operatives become available.
  • Monitoring the system for emergencies and managing them within a timely manner to meet targets.
  • Responding to telephone variations by seeking approval from the duty surveyor to allow operatives to continue work on site until completion.
  • Arranging inspections for supervisors.
  • Providing high-quality service to our clients face-to-face.
  • Working within a team to achieve goals and targets, with a minimum of 60 new order allocations daily.

We are seeking candidates with relevant experience in planning, scheduling, logistics, or similar industries such as construction or property services, though this is not essential.

To succeed, you should be an excellent communicator, capable of problem-solving, multitasking, and working under tight deadlines.

Due to the nature of this role, a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required at offer stage. We assess applicants with criminal convictions on an individual basis and do not discriminate based on criminal records. Additional pre-employment checks may also be required.
