Job summary

FryerMiles is recruiting a DV-cleared Scheduler for a high-profile defence programme based in Basingstoke. The role involves developing and controlling integrated schedules across complex programmes, with close collaboration with PMO and delivery teams.

You will produce forecasts and progress reports for senior stakeholders, identify schedule risks, and ensure plans align with project controls. On-site five days per week, initial 6-month contract with extension potential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and control integrated project schedules across complex defence programmes.
• Produce detailed project plans, milestones and critical path analysis; monitor performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, PMO and delivery teams to ensure accurate planning and reporting.
• Produce schedule updates, forecasts and progress reports for senior stakeholders; support governance and reporting cycles.
• Analyse schedule variance and recommend recovery actions.
• Ensure planning activities align with project controls and best practices.

Scheduler – DV Cleared – Basingstoke – 6 month contract (possible extension) – Up to £550 per day Inside IR35

FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a major UK Defence Prime to recruit an experienced DV Cleared Scheduler for a high profile defence programme based in Basingstoke.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and control integrated project schedules across complex defence programmes.
• Produce detailed project plans, milestones and critical path analysis. Monitor programme performance, identifying schedule risks, dependencies and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, PMO and technical delivery teams to ensure accurate planning and reporting.
• Produce schedule updates, forecasts and progress reports for senior stakeholders. Support programme governance, reviews and reporting cycles.
• Analyse schedule variance and recommend recovery actions where required.
• Ensure planning activities align with project controls and programme management best practice.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Scheduler or Project Planner on large, complex programmes.
• Strong experience using planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6
• Experience working within Defence, Government or other highly regulated environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary programme teams.

Essential Requirements

• Current and active UK DV clearance.
• UK Sole National status.
• Ability to work onsite in Basingstoke five days per week.
