Job summary

IT Recruitment Solutions in Derby seeks a Senior Planner to support a major defence infrastructure programme essential to national security. You must be a sole UK national, ideally holding SC Clearance, with 7–9+ years in planning across defence or large engineering projects.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining cost- and resource-loaded schedules, primarily using Primavera P6 within a PMO, to enable accurate delivery and informed decision-making. On-site three days/week.

Job description

Senior Planner wanted by a leading defence consultancy supporting a major infrastructure programme in Derby, which is critical to national security. You must be a sole UK national to apply, and ideally hold SC Clearance. However we are also able to consider individuals who are eligible for SC Clearance, as long as you are a sole UK national.

This Senior Planner role will see you support planning and scheduling activity across a complex PMO environment in the defence sector. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining cost- and resource-loaded schedules across multiple workstreams, with Primavera P6 being the primary tool. You will also support integrated, realistic programme plans that enable delivery and decision-making.

We are seeking planners at all levels, from mid-level (~5 years experience) up to senior and lead level with 7-9+ years experience in planning or scheduling across major projects, defence, or large engineering programmes.

As a Senior Planner, you will support scheduling activity across infrastructure works, ensuring alignment between cost, schedule and delivery performance. You will also be responsible for maintaining schedule integrity and supporting programme reporting, and of course strong P6 experience is required.

This Senior Planner role offers a salary of £50,000 - £80,000 plus benefits, with 3 days per week onsite in Derby required. Sole UK Nationality and SC clearance eligibility is essential.
