About The Role

Scene Build artists are responsible for populating the Harmony scenes so that they are ready for the animation team to work on. You will also troubleshoot the technical, narrative, and visual issues that become apparent during the scene build process.

Day to Day:

1. Track and gather all assets as needed for each scene: backgrounds, rigs, props, crowds, animatics, audio.
2. Attend episode and asset review meetings and take notes related to the content of each scene.
3. Position elements within each scene according to the shot’s layout so that each shot is ready for animation.
4. Maintain organized production files according to studio naming conventions and a clean Harmony Node View.
5. Work closely with the Animation Leads to ensure the Scene Build workflow delivers assets suitable for the animation team.
6. Collaborate with the BG Leads to ensure continuity and correct staging across the episode.
7. Coordinate with the Pipeline team to optimize Scene Build workflows.
8. Depending on resources available, allocate time for learning skills from other departments, such as animation, design, or rigging, based on your interests.

About You

Must Have:

• Good knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony software.
• Good understanding of animation and design.
• A portfolio demonstrating at least one relevant animation industry skill.
• Detail-oriented with a good eye.
• Excellent organization and self-management skills.
• Ability to listen to and positively implement direction.
• Team player and enjoys collaboration.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to take ownership of your part in the pipeline.
