Position: Data Centre Specialist

Based at Hinton House, Risley, the Data Centre Specialist will be part of the Project Delivery Team, supporting the Sellafield and Risley contracts with services like document scanning, transportation, secure storage, and document management.

Reporting to the Project Supervisor, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective, customer-focused services, including preparing, scanning, quality checking, destroying, and archiving records.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare records for processing.
  2. Scan records into Iris Powerscan.
  3. Conduct quality checks on records.
  4. Generate reports for archiving.
  5. Manage historic records, including sorting, boxing, and preparing for destruction or offsite storage.
  6. Support ad-hoc requests from the Sellafield Records Management Team.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, and capable of working independently and in teams. Full training will be provided. The role requires adaptability and a proactive approach within a multifunctional records management environment.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Effective collaboration across teams.
  • Strong work ethic with good prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, resourcefulness, and agility in demanding environments.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently.

Desirable but not essential:

  • SC Clearance.
  • P4 Pass.
  • Previous experience at Sellafield.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
