Job summary

LA International is seeking a skilled backend engineer to help define and deliver the future vision for attribute reputation services. The role focuses on designing high-volume, low-latency backend systems and secure APIs using Scala and modern engineering practices.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers and wider technical teams to deliver effective software solutions, improve maintainability and reduce technical complexity.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
• Strong API design and development experience.
• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience.
• Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Experience supporting and restoring production services during incidents.
• Strong appreciation of testing, automation and software quality practices.
• Experience working within Agile environments.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and CI/CD practices.
