Job summary

Mears Group PLC in Birmingham is seeking a Scaffolding Supervisor to lead scaffolding activities on the Birmingham contract. You will ensure safe delivery, coordinate erection and dismantling, and supervise a team of operatives and subcontractors.

The role focuses on compliance with TG20/SG4, client liaison, and maintaining equipment and records. A strong safety and quality mindset is essential, with commitment to customer satisfaction and staff development.

Qualifications

• CISRS Supervisor (SSSTS) or Advanced Scaffolder.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Scaffolding (or equivalent).
• CISRS card and TG20/SG4 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scaffolding works across planned and reactive maintenance contracts.
• Supervise a team of scaffolders and manage subcontractors.
• Monitor progress with site visits, ensuring safety, timeliness and quality.
• Plan job scheduling, resources, and upkeep of equipment.
• Provide technical advice to clients and internal teams.
