Company Overview
Lea Scaffolding is recognised as a great place to work. Our scaffold apprenticeship scheme provides a great way to gain key on-the-job experience whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Job Summary
The role will initially be based in the yard, where you will support the preparation, unloading, and organisation of scaffolding materials. After a short initial period, you will be allocated to site work and will be always working alongside at least one qualified scaffolder.
While on site, you will work under the direct supervision of a scaffolder and follow their instructions in all aspects of the role. In the early stages, your duties will largely involve assisting as a labourer. As your experience and competence develop, you will gradually be given the opportunity to assist with the erection and dismantling of minor scaffold elements, always under direct supervision.
The long-term aim of the role is to progress operatives through a structured training and development programme, supporting them to become fully competent scaffolders. In addition, the rates mentioned are here to cover all ages of potential Apprenticeship candidates.
