Job summary

Univers is seeking a SCADA Operations & Maintenance Engineer in the U.K. to monitor and maintain our SCADA systems, providing remote and onsite support and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.

You will configure, upgrade, and secure the SCADA environment, maintain hardware and software, and generate operation reports. Strong English skills are essential; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA architecture and networks.
• Experience with IEC104, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850.
• Proficiency with Linux and MySQL.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SCADA system to ensure stable performance.
• Maintain SCADA hardware and software including servers, workstations, network devices.
• Respond to and resolve SCADA issues, perform troubleshooting and repairs.
• Configure and optimize SCADA for performance and reliability.
• Participate in SCADA upgrade and expansion projects; analyze requirements, design, implement.
• Write and update operation documentation.
• Collaborate with development team on custom projects.
• Monitor network security for SCADA.
• Provide system operation reports and improvement recommendations to management.
• Travel to client sites to provide technical support as needed.
