Job summary

SCC in Warrington, UK, is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer with strong infrastructure, virtualisation and industrial control systems experience to support the maintenance, upgrade and optimisation of Operational Technology (OT) systems across a large CNI estate.

You will work on SCADA environments, OT networking, VMware and Windows platforms, documenting processes and collaborating with operations teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting SCADA environments.
• Experience with VMware ESXi, vCentre and Veeam.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory skills.
• Knowledge of OT networking, including VLANs, routing and IP addressing.
• Experience working alongside PLC-based control systems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain SCADA systems and OT infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application and network issues.

Your responsibilities as the SCADA Engineer:

• Support and maintain SCADA systems and OT infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application and network issues.
• Manage VMware ESXi, vCentre and Veeam environments.
• Support Windows Server and Active Directory platforms.
• Configure and maintain OT networks, including VLANs and routing.
• Support PLC-connected environments and industrial control systems.
• Assist with upgrades, patching, testing and deployments.
• Produce technical documentation and support operational teams.
• Travel to operational sites as required.

As a successful SCADA Engineer, you will have:

• Proven experience supporting SCADA environments.
• Experience with VMware ESXi, vCentre and Veeam.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory skills.
• Knowledge of OT networking, including VLANs, routing and IP addressing.
• Experience working alongside PLC-based control systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Siemens WinCC and Simatic Net experience desirable.
