Job summary

La-Fosse-1 is seeking an expert-level GE PowerOn Reliance (PoR) SCADA specialist to lead testing, integration and deployment across complex SCADA/EMS environments. Travel 2-3 days a week in Woking for a 6-month engagement.

You will drive functional, non-functional, integration and acceptance testing, crafting detailed test scenarios to validate PoR against business and technical requirements, with strong experience in configuring PoR modules and integrating with external interfaces.

Qualifications

• Expert-level GE PowerOn Reliance (PoR) SCADA specialist.
• Strong testing, integration and deployment capabilities in SCADA/EMS environments.
• Experience with Agile delivery and test management tools (JIRA/XRAY).
• 10+ years’ experience across SCADA implementation, integration, testing and operational support is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, integration and deployment of SCADA/EMS within Transmission and Distribution environments.
• Develop comprehensive test scenarios and cases to validate PoR against business, operational and technical requirements.
• Configure PoR components and ensure compatibility within the wider technology stack (Application, Database, Reports, FEP, Historian, DPF and Proxy Servers).
• Collaborate with utilities, system integrators and delivery teams in Agile environments.
• Manage testing, defects, risks and delivery using JIRA/XRAY.

SCADA Engineer

Expert-level GE PowerOn Reliance (PoR) SCADA specialist required to lead testing, integration and deployment across complex SCADA/EMS environments, working closely with utilities, system integrators and technical delivery teams.

• Day Rate: £550-£600pd
• IR25 Status: Inside
• Travel: 2-3 days a week in Woking
• Duration:6 months

Responsibilities

• We’re looking for an expert-level GE PowerOn Reliance (PoR) SCADA specialist to support the implementation, testing and deployment of SCADA/EMS solutions within complex Transmission and Distribution environments.
• You’ll lead functional, non-functional, integration and acceptance testing, developing comprehensive test scenarios and cases to validate PoR against business, operational and technical requirements.
• Strong hands-on experience with PowerOn Reliance is essential, including SCADA/EMS configuration and modules such as Group Telecontrol, Automation, System Tracing, Symbol Design and Alarm Configuration.
• You’ll work across the wider PoR technology stack, with experience configuring components including Application, Database, Reports, FEP, Historian, DPF and Proxy Servers, as well as integrating PoR with external enterprise applications and interfaces.
• The role requires strong knowledge of power systems and OT environments, including IEC 101/104, IEC 61850, GI 74, NERC CIP, SCADA data flows, cartography/network modelling, and Windows/Linux server environments.
• You’ll work closely with utilities, system integrators, Product Owners, SCADA SMEs and delivery teams in Agile environments, using tools such as JIRA/XRAY to manage testing, defects, risks and delivery. 10+ years’ experience across SCADA implementation, integration, testing and operational support is highly desirable.
