Responsibilities:
- Create prototypes, wireframes, mock-ups, workflows, user flows, site maps, storyboards, interactive and graphic designs, information architecture.
- Proficient with tools such as Sketch, Invision Studio, Balsamiq, Axure, and GOV.UK Prototype Kit.
- Interpret research, identify user issues and needs, and incorporate findings into designs.
- Understand usability issues for diverse populations and develop engagement strategies.
- Design consistent user experiences across mobile and desktop platforms.
- Collaborate with researchers and content designers to test, iterate, and launch products.
- Liaise with Product Owners and Stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Work with Business Analysts to refine designs aligned with business needs.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure feasible and correct implementation of UX solutions.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to iterate designs rapidly and develop multiple variants.
- Develop interaction and user interface designs that meet user needs and accessibility standards.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design approaches.
- Effective communication across organizational and technical boundaries.
- Engage with users and stakeholders to gather evidence and use data to inform design outcomes.
- Deliverables include information architecture, user journeys, task models, user flows, site flows, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Proficiency in prototyping in code, understanding of security, accessibility, and version control.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and applying an agile mindset.
- Understanding of team dynamics, collaboration, and giving/receiving constructive feedback.
