Must Have Government Experience
As an interaction/UX designer you will:
- Create prototypes, wireframes, mock-ups, workflows, user flows, site maps, storyboards, interactive and graphic designs, and information architecture.
- Proficient with tools such as Sketch, Invision Studio, Balsamiq, Axure, and GOV.UK Prototype Kit.
- Interpret evidence-based research, identify user issues and needs, and incorporate findings into your designs.
- Understand usability issues for diverse populations and develop engaging solutions.
- Design consistent user experiences across mobile and desktop platforms.
- Collaborate with user researchers and content designers to test, iterate, and launch products.
- Liaise with Product Owners and Stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Work with Business Analysts to refine designs aligned with business needs.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure feasible and accurate implementation of UX solutions.
Skills we can’t do without:
- Ability to rapidly iterate on designs and create multiple variants for testing.
- Develop interaction and user interface designs that meet user needs and accessibility standards.
- Deep knowledge of user-centered design approaches.
- Effective communication across organizational and technical boundaries.
- Ability to identify needs and engage with users/stakeholders, using data to inform outcomes.
- Deliver information architecture, user journeys, task models, user flows, site flows, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Prototyping in code, understanding security, accessibility, and version control.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and applying an agile mindset.
- Understanding team dynamics, collaboration, and giving/receiving constructive feedback.
