Job Responsibilities:
- Create prototypes, wireframes, mock-ups, workflows, user flows, site maps, storyboards, interactive designs, graphic designs, and information architecture.
- Proficient with tools such as Sketch, Invision Studio, Balsamiq, Axure, and GOV.UK Prototype Kit.
- Interpret research, identify user issues and needs, and incorporate findings into your designs.
- Address usability issues for diverse populations and develop engaging solutions.
- Design consistent user experiences across mobile and desktop platforms.
- Collaborate with user researchers and content designers to test, iterate, and launch products.
- Liaise with Product Owners and Stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Work with Business Analysts to refine and update designs.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure design feasibility and proper transition into development.
Required Skills:
- Ability to iterate rapidly and generate multiple design variants.
- Develop interaction and user interface designs that meet accessibility standards.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design approaches.
- Effective communication across organizational and technical boundaries.
- Engage with users and stakeholders to gather evidence and use data to inform design outcomes.
- Deliverables include information architecture, user journeys, task models, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Proficiency in coding prototypes, understanding of security, accessibility, and version control.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and applying an agile mindset.
- Understanding team dynamics, collaboration, and giving/receiving constructive feedback.
