Job summary

A leading consultancy seeks an Integration Build Engineer in Portsmouth to oversee installations and configurations for integration environments. Candidates should have over two years of experience in build engineering and familiarity with Wintel and VMware technologies. The contract lasts for 6 months, with potential extensions. Occasional travel may be required.

Job description

Role: Integration Build Engineer (Integrator)

Location:

Portsmouth (on-site, 5 days per week)

Contract Length:

6 months, with potential for further extensions

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform installation, configuration, and build work for integration environments
2. Work with build and deployment of systems across various technologies
3. Update design documents and produce system/build documentation
4. Create and maintain work instructions and operational guides

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 2+ years of hands-on experience in build engineering or similar roles
2. Strong knowledge of Wintel and VMware technologies
3. Proficiency with vSphere and ESXi host management
4. Familiarity with general software stack integration

Desirable Skills:

1. Basic knowledge of NetApp storage solutions
2. Understanding of Juniper networking
3. Experience with system documentation and operations manuals

Additional Information:

1. Occasional travel required (e.g., Glasgow and potentially other UK sites); travel is likely but infrequent
