The Role:
As a Structural Engineer, you will work on a portfolio of projects, alongside other members of the team and colleagues from across the business.

The Structural Analysis team uses advanced finite element-based structural analysis codes supported by classical analytical methods to simulate the response of complex, and often novel, materials and structures in challenging, real-world environments.

Day-to-day, you'll:

  4. Support the development of hypersonic airframe technologies

Essential experience of the Structural Engineer:

  1. Experienced structural analyst, with strong analytical and numerical skills
  2. Expert in finite element modelling methods, using ABAQUS
  3. Ability to deliver projects that include high levels of novel research and methods development as well as undertaking traditional engineering assessments and design-support activities
  4. Knowledge of adjacent technical disciplines such as design, manufacturing, materials, aerodynamics/hydrodynamics
  5. Track record in writing high-quality technical reports and delivery of presentations to customers and audiences of all levels

Qualifications for the Structural Engineer:

We value difference and we don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.

This role is 37 hours per week based at Farnborough. Hybrid working patterns are available.
